Michèle Saunders KoppelmanI have been quilting since 1992 and have attended Quilting by the Lake annually since 1995, where I’ve been fortunate to study with some amazing people* and to make some wonderful friends. I’ve learned approaches and techniques, but always strive to maintain my own voice and vision.

After using beads to embellish quilts for several years, I took a few classes on making beaded jewelry.  This turned out to be loads of fun.  So I’ve added a jewelry gallery to the new site.

I have taught beginner quilt-making and various workshops since 1998 and enjoy helping new quilters gain skills and confidence.  Please visit my teaching page.

I love doing commissions.  If you see something you like, but want a different size or color, please ask me about it.  I will not make two of the exact same thing.  However, variations on a theme or using a similar pattern or idea with different fabrics are fine.  The same goes for the jewelry.  If you like a particular style, tell me your size and colors and I’m happy to design a piece just for you.
